“Love is worth forgiving for.”
- Emma / Lucy - Jekyll & Hyde
Jekyll & Hyde is notoriously known for being a portrait of good vs evil and the constant warring of these forces within each of us. This production places an added emphasis on addiction and substance abuse and how it directly impacts the ones we love most. Through the use of moving platforms and a large set of hidden double doors, the production team aimed to create a level of pressurized confinement on a rather large proscineum stage. Audience members were at one moment entranced by Hyde’s seductions while at the very next being repulsed by his savage brutality.
Reviews
“Running through October 19th, Director Patrick Campbell helms this production with exceptional skill, leading a top-notch ensemble…While productions of this musical may perhaps be frequent, this incarnation shines, thanks in large part to a remarkably talented cast.”

“I’m writing this review about three hours from print deadline because I’ve needed extra time to process what I think is the most ambitious and passionate production I’ve ever been honored to be an audience to at CM Performing Arts Center in Oakdale. Patrick Campbell’s vision for what is basically a contemporary opera in musical persuasion was bold and realized, with fantastic leads and a triumphant, buttressing ensemble.”
